The Camp Activities

Sayoni Summer Camp aims to be a fun-filled and meaningful experience for queer women. We wish to promote self-development and growth, with a focus on encouraging campers' self-exploration and understanding of their relationship with the world around them.

We've got a great line-up planned for you. With a mix of outdoor activities in the sun, thought-provoking workshops and cozy get-togethers around the dinner table. There is something for everyone at Sayoni Summer Camp 2009!

Ice-breaker Games:

Don't worry if you don't know anyone yet! You won't be alone. Our ice-breakers are designed to ensure everyone relaxes and connects with new friends. Participate actively as it’s a chance for you to get to know everyone and enjoy the 3-day camp with wonderful friends.

Water Activities:

How better to take advantage of a wonderful tropical summer than bask in the sun and pool? Our water games are aimed to encourage team-building and hone the body and spirit. Furthermore, you will be delighted to find that our water activities are conducted in a gorgeous pool area all to ourselves. Bring out the swimwear as it is summer!

Self-Improvement Workshops:

We have invited two counselling professionals to share their knowledge in fun workshops especially for campers. Find out more about yourself and realise the potential within you. Discover about safer ways to make your lover go wild or simply learn how to better handle your relationships.

The workshops will be conducted by Bianca and Mei Ling:

Bianca

Passionate about life and driven by her interest in people, Bianca has devoted her time to exploring the curious world of human relationships, whether through her work with a woman's support group as a counsellor or over meaningful connections with others who share the same interest.

Her volunteering experience with local counselling and personal development agency Oogachaga for the last 4 years is where she sees her passion of coaching individuals in the LGBT community develop themselves to be the best they can be. Trained in psychology and with formal training in Couple Counselling, she is also a Certified Gambling Addiction Counsellor and a Certified Human Behaviour Analyst. Bianca, as she puts it, is currently planning her life to develop herself and her skills further.

Mei Ling

A devout believer that 'nirvana' is achievable through knowing, developing and projecting the authentic self, Mei Ling is an advocate of personal accountability and taking ownership of the outcome of one's actions. She strongly believes in seizing the opportunity to further develop anchorness in self when life decides to present a challenge. Also a certified Human Behaviour Analyst with formal training in couple counselling, deep process work on the self and authentic leadership, her contributions to the LGBT community include facilitating the first LGBT women's support group in Singapore and working on therapeutic processes with clients of local counselling and personal development agency, Oogachaga.

Mei Ling, whose principal training is in the science of management and business globalisation, has 14 years of regional work with international companies. She is currently enjoying a career developing local enterprises.

Safe Sex Workshop:

Safe Sapphic Sex celebrates lesbian encounters by offering safer sex advice for everyone. The workshop is conducted in a playful and interactive manner that peaks curiosity and enhances sexual options rather than limiting them. It is ideal for beginners learning about the joys of sexual play and at the same time, helpful to the experienced by sharing the many methods for remaining safe.

Lots of Fun!

We can't reveal all our secrets here, but do join us for great company and lots of fun, following our motto: Join It! Live It! Love It!
